That really helps, all three of these tips will make a major difference in how you handle the stream or how the stream will handle you. Thank you for all that you have done to get me ready for the stream and catching fish.

Hi Martin, yes they would be an absolute blast on a fly rod, but we were getting these fish at about 30 to 40 metres down on Live bait and high speed jigs!
They do come in to some shallow water harbours in the summer and I hope to get one this summer on the fly. I do however hope it is not a big one, these fish realy can deal to you! They fight very hard and dirty, if there is a rock or pole anywhere near by they head straight for it at warp speed and bust you off.
I will let you all know if I manage one on the fly.
All the best.
Mike.

Hello Jan,

Thank you for your interest in buying my reel , but I don't make reels for other people to buy.
When I have to make a new one like this , it will cost a lot of money. Only my working hours are at least 70 hours for one reel!!!! And the anodising for one reel is about 100 euro! So you can imagine what the price will be. I am so sorry, but thank you very much.

Best regards,

Tom Biesot.

Thank you Yasma for the nice comment on the reel.
As you can read in the article, I don't make reels for people to buy.
The past few month's I have got a lot of people who are interested in buying my reel or to make one for them, but I am sorry for you all. At the moment I am working on another project, so keep looking at Global Flyfisher!!

Best regards,
Tom Biesot.

Dave, beautiful work! Feather wing streamers are the most beautiful dressings to adorn a hook and become a "fly", especially when done by tiers like yourself that take so much pride in their workmanship.
Well done, good luck,

Kirk

Kirk, Thank you very much for your kind comments. Your flies are a real pleasure to see every single time. I look forward to getting to know you better and I definitely look forward to your next creation.

dear Martin, thanks for good idea. As I am getting "younger and younger", slipping my waders off has become a nightmare. But when I am fishing with my friends, I must ask them to help. It works good as well.
Karel

Hello Guys . I`m interested in any alternative destinations for bornholm`s seatrout expeditions as me and my friends used to do for a few last years. .Im mainly intersted in getting big silver fishes. . Could you be so kind and suggest any places to go in eastern part of Denmark ?

From a fellow who has been diving with Bluefin Tuna in the Mediterranean and in Atlantic waters off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. After many years of diving and handfeeding these magnificent fish I call the experience ' my lifetime
adventure' which led into becoming an underwater photographer and marine artist in different media.
Your painting presents a superb composition of the action.

David Mac I eagerly look forward to viewing all your streamers. The ones you provided for our Maine trip were spot on. Robert sends his best and his Thanks for another thrilling vacation. Thank you

Thank you Sandra, always a pleasure to hear about your fishing trips. I will have to publish a photo of your streamers soon, so that others can see why your trips are so successful!

Pete,

Funny with Petijean's vice. I always found it overly complex and way "too flexible". Jack of many trades, king of none, you know. And very expensive too. But is sure is impressive when Marc demonstrates it.

Fun experiment with the light curing glues. I have used Bug Bond and love it, but have no experience with the other brands.

PS: your windows looks like mine! ;-)

Martin

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
